Bible Verses for Physical and Emotional Healing
Written by the Scripture Nook team · February 19, 2026
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
We want healing to come like a thunderclap. Most of the time it comes like a sunrise, slow, almost imperceptible, until one day you realize the light has changed. Both kinds are God's. Neither is more spiritual than the other.
Psalm 147:3 uses the language of a healer who takes their time. He binds. He wraps. He returns the next day to check the bandage. Whatever is wounded in you, body, mind, marriage, faith, He is not rushing the recovery, and He is not absent from it.
If you are in the middle of healing, do not measure today against the day before. Measure against where you started. Then thank God for the inch of ground, and ask Him for one more.
A Prayer
Lord, You are the One who binds up what is broken. Heal what I cannot heal in myself. Where the road is slow, give me patience. Where it is painful, give me Your nearness. I trust You with the timing. Amen.
