Scripture for a Fresh Start
Written by the Scripture Nook team · June 11, 2026
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Beginnings are tender. A new job, a new city, a new chapter after loss, a new attempt at a habit you have failed at before. They carry hope and fear in the same hand. The Bible is full of fresh starts, the morning after the flood, the road out of Egypt, the empty tomb.
2 Corinthians 5:17 does not soften it. The old is gone. The new is here. In Christ, you are not the sum of what you used to be. The story has a new chapter, and the pen is in His hand.
If you are standing at the start of something, ask God to walk into it with you on purpose. Dedicate the new thing to Him before it gets crowded. Beginnings shaped by prayer have a different gravity than the ones we wander into alone.
A Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of beginning again. Walk into this new thing with me. Let the old not follow me where it does not belong, and let what You are doing in me now be marked by Your presence from the first day. Amen.
